Moderate this…
One of the (few) upsides of the lock-down period was that I could join more conferences - as they were primarily held online. In that period I was mostly asked to speak about co-creation and social innovation. One of these talks can be found here. But I also moderated a few events. Recently I found out that some of these events that I hosted in collaboration with Polis Network are still available online.
The Neighbourhood Conference, or ‘Mobilising Mobility: Towards sustainable mobility – one neighbourhood at a time’ in full, was held in October 2020, and wrapped up 4 projects funded by the European Commission, that were working towards better mobility solutions with people in their neighbourhoods. The four projects SUNRISE, Cities-4-People, Looper, Metamorphosis brought back the city to their citizens. In 21 locations across Europe and beyond, local residents, stakeholders and public authorities re-assessed and re-imagined their immediate surroundings with the guidance and support of the project teams. All this was done in the spirit of co-creation and participation. The conference was the final and joint event for these four neighbourhood Projects. The general take aways of these projects were documented in a shared publication called Big Messages. Lessons for co-creative mobility initiatives in neighbourhoods. I was also the editor of this publication, together with one of my favorite (former) colleagues Max Kortlander.
The conference can be found, in two parts, below:
In that same year, in December, I also moderated the session ‘Co-creation and citizen engagement’ during the Polis Conference 2020. That session can be found below:
